New Delhi, December 3 (IANS). Vishwa Hindu Parishad spokesperson Vinod Bansal has condemned the violence against minority Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of ISKCON-affiliated saint Chinmoy Das and has sought intervention from the global community.
Speaking to IANS, he said, “Bangladesh is now becoming a paradise for Jihadis. These people have taken Bangladesh to the brink of destruction. It can be understood from this how violent and barbaric these people have become.” That lawyer Raman Roy, who fought Chinmoy Das’s case, was not spared. There Hindus neither have the right to defend themselves nor are they able to get any lawyer there. When Raman Roy was fighting the case, an attempt was made to murder him by entering his house.
He said, “I have just received information that another of his associate lawyers has also been beaten up. This whole conspiracy and the silence of the Bangladesh government is very dangerous. I cannot even understand where the human rights organizations have hidden there. Why UNHRC? The acting Prime Minister of Bangladesh has also received the Nobel Peace Prize. Questions are now being raised as to who gave him this award.
He said, “It has now become too much in Bangladesh. Too much is prohibited everywhere. There, cases of treason are being filed against the saints and saints of ISKCON by threatening them. This is very condemnable. Another information is coming out that The lawyers who were fighting the case of Chinmay Prabhu are also being implicated. There, Hindus do not have the right to take legal shelter even after being attacked. The Bar Council there is asleep.”
He said, “I don’t understand this. Jihad goes to the head of even educated people. In India’s judicial system, the Supreme Court hears a terrorist’s case till 3 o’clock in the night. On the other hand, in Bangladesh, people are standing up against injustice. Even the lawyer of the person is killed by entering his house. This is very condemnable.”
