Jodhpur : People are scared of the communal violence that took place two days ago in Sursagar, Jodhpur. The victims of violence have demanded strict action against the rioters from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Elderly Vaijayanti Gehlot can never see with one eye now. The woman’s eye was ruptured in stone pelting. Doctors have told that the vision of one eye cannot be restored. The woman, a victim of violence, narrated her ordeal. She said, “I was sitting outside the house. Children were also with me. The family lives in the ancestral house. Suddenly stone pelting started. A stone hit the eye directly. Children also got injured in the stone pelting.” The woman told that the family members immediately rushed her to the hospital. The next day the doctors told that she will never be able to see with one eye. The woman says that fights and stone pelting start on small issues in the area. She has demanded action against the rioters on the lines of Uttar Pradesh from the Rajasthan government.
The father asked what was the daughter’s fault?
Vaijayanti Gehlot said what was my fault. Why did the rioters gouge my eyes out. An hour before the communal violence, the father and daughter had met. Suddenly two parties clashed in Sursagar. She has demanded strict action against the rioters. She said that hooliganism has increased in Sursagar. The miscreants sit there all night. Women and girls are molested.
