Visible increase in recovery in Bikaner, amnesty scheme will remain till 31st December

Bikaner : Bikaner Transport Department has tried a new trick to collect tax dues. Under the amnesty scheme, huge discounts are being given to those who have deposited the outstanding taxes. This scheme will be applicable till 31st December. At present, the scheme of filling the pot drop by drop in the Transport Department is proving to be life saving. The Transport Department has so far collected revenue of Rs 1 crore 22 lakh 97 thousand from the scheme. According to the department, about Rs 1.25 crore fine is outstanding on 5 thousand 347 heavy vehicles in the district. Since the implementation of the Amnesty Scheme, e-Ravanna worth Rs 1 crore 22 lakh 97 thousand has been collected from 1619 vehicles.

According to a senior official of the Transport Department, all efforts are being made for disposal of heavy vehicles through e-movement. Despite issuing notices to vehicle owners, action has been taken to suspend RC of 1600 heavy vehicles who have not deposited the e-Ravanna fine. The process of suspending the RC of the remaining vehicles has also been started if the e-waybill is not submitted within the stipulated time.

The Transport Department is getting a good amount of revenue from the Amnesty Scheme. Till now the department has received revenue of Rs 1 crore 22 lakh 97 thousand from 1619 vehicles. Action will be taken to suspend the RC of those who do not deposit the fine despite the exemption. amnesty Under the scheme, heavy vehicle owners can avail exemption from overload fine amount. If the fine amount of e-Ravanna loaded vehicles is more than one lakh rupees, then the owners of such vehicles have to deposit only up to one lakh rupees, the remaining amount will be exempted. Also, such load carriers, whose fine amount is less than one lakh rupees, will have to deposit 25 percent of the fine amount.
