New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). For the formation of the new government in Maharashtra, voting is going on from 7 am on Wednesday for the by-elections being held on all 288 assembly seats of the state and one Lok Sabha seat (Nanded), which will continue till 6 pm. Strict security arrangements have been made to conduct peaceful voting on all the seats. Meanwhile, many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have appealed to the people to participate enthusiastically in this festival of democracy.
Prime Minister Modi wrote on social media platform Increase. On this occasion I appeal to all the youth and women voters to come forward and vote in large numbers.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on Twitter, “I appeal to my brothers and sisters of Maharashtra to vote in large numbers and strengthen the celebration of democracy. I especially appeal to the young and first-time voters. I urge you to exercise your right to vote.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on Twitter, “I urge the sisters and brothers who are going to vote in the Maharashtra Assembly elections to vote enthusiastically to form a government in the state, at the center of which will be the culture of Maharashtra, the values of the state.” Let there be prosperity, protection of mothers and farmers and those who compromise on principles for the sake of power and make appeasement an agenda today for the golden future of Maharashtra’s youth. Vote in maximum numbers.”
BJP President JP Nadda wrote on Twitter, “I urge all my brothers and sisters, especially the youth of Maharashtra, to vote in large numbers and exercise their democratic right. To realize our dream of ‘Developed India’ Take advantage of this opportunity and play an important role in the continued development of Maharashtra. Your one vote has the power to shape the future of the state and make it a 1 trillion dollar economy. Be sure to participate and encourage others to do so.”
