Voting took place for change of power in Jharkhand: Babulal Marandi

Ranchi, November 20 (IANS). With the second phase of voting in Jharkhand, the voting process for all the seats has been completed. BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi had an exclusive conversation with IANS after the end of voting. He claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party government is going to be formed in the state.

Babulal Marandi said that on the basis of the indications being received after the elections, it can be said that NDA government is going to be formed in the state. Voting has taken place for change of power in Jharkhand. For the last five years, the public was fed up of seeing and tolerating the Hemant Soren government.

He claimed that Hemant Soren government is leaving Jharkhand and Bharatiya Janata Party government is coming. BJP and NDA alliance is going to get more than 51 seats.

When asked about the face of the Chief Minister, the BJP leader said that first the election results will come on November 23 and after that there will be a meeting of the legislature party. It will be decided in the legislature party meeting itself who will be our leader.

NDA is expected to get a majority in various exit polls released after the two-phase voting process is over in the state. However, only after the counting of votes on November 23, it will be clear which party will get majority in the state and which party will remain in the role of opposition.

In the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections, voting was held for 43 seats on November 13, while in the second phase, voting for 38 seats concluded on Wednesday. Election results will be revealed on 23 November.
