Jaipur : The forts and palaces of Jaipur have a special identity all over the world. One such beautiful fort of Jaipur is built at an altitude of 700 feet on the Aravalli mountain range. Nahargarh Fort, also known as Sudarshan Fort, haunted place and scary fort. This fort was built by King Sawai Jai Singh of Jaipur in 1734. Later in 1868, the buildings inside the fort were constructed and expanded.
Nahargarh Fort is named after the tigers that live in the forests here. People also call them Nahar in the local language and there were obstacles in the work as if some spirit was stopping the fort. Then a Tantrik was called who told that the spirit of the brave warrior Nahar Singh resides in the fort and is creating obstacles in the construction of the fort.

In a war, even after Nahar Singh’s head was cut off, his torso kept fighting the enemies. On getting this information, the Tantrik named the fort Sudarshan Garh on the orders of that spirit. It was named Nahargarh and a temple was built in the fort, after which the construction work of the fort proceeded.

The most famous 12 room Madhavendra Bhawan in this fort is the most beautiful and is really worth seeing. For adventure loving tourists, there is also a 2 km adventure track near the fort walls. Also, the grand water well and Nahargarh Biological Park in this fort are worth seeing.
Many films have been shot in this historical fort including Aamir Khan’s superhit film Rang De Basanti. Till date, no enemy has attacked this fort. This fort is protected by strong walls on all sides. The structure of this fort is very magnificent in which weapons, clothes and cannons of the kings of old times are kept which are still in a safe condition. And from this fort, a beautiful view of the entire city can be seen.
