Dausa : Seeing the water in the canals coming out of the Kalakhoh dam, which has been dry for almost two decades, farmers are hopeful of good harvest.
In fact, good rains in Dausa district during the monsoon season are proving to be a relief to the farmers. The Kalakhoh dam situated here was filled to the brim. In such a situation, due to the filling of the dam, there was a wave of happiness among the farmers of the surrounding area and the hope of growing crops on the lands lying barren for years was raised.
On Monday, the canal was opened from Kalakhoh dam after worship by the Irrigation Department. When water started flowing in the canal after about twenty years, people looked happy. The canal coming out of the dam will pass through more than two dozen villages and reach Mariada village.
Ramotar Doi, Kailash Sadaria and other farmers including residents of Reta village said that with the arrival of the canal after about twenty years, there is now hope of a good harvest and the lands lying barren for years will now start looking green again.
On the other hand, farmers Prahlad Singh and Ajit Singh said that the drain coming out of the canal is closed, due to which the farmers expressed their anger over water not reaching the fields and said that if the administration does not open the drain soon and start it smoothly, then the movement will end. Will be forced to. Farmers say that water reaches the villages through drains from the main canal. In such a situation, it is very important to open the drain.
