Water supply department cuts 18 illegal tap connections in Bhilwara city

Bhilwara : Bhilwara Water Supply Department on Wednesday disconnected about 18 illegal connections made on Medical College Road in Sanganer due to drinking water crisis. Out of these connections, about 7 connections were made on the rising pipeline to fill the tank, due to which the tank was not being filled completely, creating a situation of drinking water crisis even in winter. According to Niranjan Singh Aadha, Executive Engineer, City Block, Water Supply Department, along with the pipeline of the department, water crisis was also arising due to people making illegal connections on the rising pipeline laid from Telikheda to fill the tank at Sanganer.

Regarding this, on Wednesday the team under the leadership of Assistant Engineer Prem Kumar and Junior Engineer Suresh Kumar reached the area and disconnected 18 illegal connections made on the distribution pipeline and rising pipeline. The water supply department also issued notices to some people. The state government has asked to run a campaign to recover outstanding water bills. After this, teams are formed and door-to-door collection is being done in 70 wards of the city, where water bills are outstanding. During the campaign, legal action is being taken against those who do not deposit the dues and illegal connections are being disconnected. Employees like Kanhaiyalal Sharma, Manaram Chaudhary, Mahesh Sharma, Shyam Singh, Bhairu Harijan, Rajendra Sharma, Ratanlal Bheel etc. were included in the team.
