Jaipur : Public Health and Engineering Department Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary, while talking to journalists at Circuit House during his stay in Udaipur on Wednesday, said that despite getting adequate amount in Jal Jeevan Mission, Rajasthan did not get its benefit. He said that PM Modi was angry with us after BJP lost 11 seats in the state in the Lok Sabha elections.

He said that despite funds being provided by the Centre, the party could not benefit from it in the elections. Whereas the mistake was of the previous Congress government. There was no water, yet the money was misused by making plans. If the previous government had done the work of linking the rivers, created a source of water and then drawn up a plan, the public would have benefited from it.

Gehlot could not stop corruption, put a bottleneck

Gehlot government could not stop corruption and installed a tap from which water was not coming. At that time, work worth about one lakh crore was going to be done in Rajasthan, but work worth only about Rs. 25 thousand crore was done. He said that the Union Jal Shakti Minister was also very angry in this matter. We urged them to carry forward our plan which ended in March 2024. Now they have extended the plan till March 2025. Now we are working on it. Tenders worth about Rs 20 thousand crores have been made.
