Sirohi : There is no water in the taps for about seven days in Apna Ghar Colony of Gram Panchayat Santpur adjacent to the city. Due to which people are craving for drinking water. According to officials of the water supply department, L&T damaged the drinking water line during the work, due to which the drinking water supply has come to a standstill. In such a situation, the people of the colony are forced to get water tankers for drinking and domestic purposes. Women especially start worrying about water as soon as they wake up in the morning. They have to wait until the water tanker arrives to complete various household tasks.
There is no coordination between the two departments, the public is suffering
The public is suffering the consequences of lack of coordination between RUDP and water supply department officials. According to water supply department officials, drinking water supply has come to a standstill due to L&T breaking the drinking water line during work. At the same time, the answer of the project manager of Rudip’s contractor company L&T is surprising. He says that the issue of pipeline belongs to the water supply department. Sewerage line is ok. In such a situation, no one knows whether the line is broken or there is a fault. Meanwhile, people are craving every drop of water.
Problems for children and employed people
Due to lack of water supply in the colony of about 60 houses, school children and people going for jobs and business are facing a lot of problems. Despite ordering water tankers, there is shortage of water for bathing, washing etc. At the same time, despite having tap connection, arranging water at one’s own level is wasting money.
