Patna, 6 December (IANS). Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on Friday expressed concern over the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. He said that on the lines of Israel, people in India will have to take self-defense training.
The Union Minister expressed his views through a post on social media handle X. Said, “Lessons should be taken from Bangladesh and considering the situation in our country, all Hindus will have to take self-defense training like Israel.”
Earlier, Giriraj Singh had talked to IANS regarding the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Minister Giriraj Singh had said, “The government there has succumbed to the pressure of extremists. Now there is no difference between the governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Indian government has issued a strict warning. I had said it yesterday also and will say it in the future also. I will continue to insist that the United Nations should intervene against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.”
He had said, “The incidents happening in Bangladesh are a deep blow to humanity. Similar incidents had happened in Pakistan too, and why does the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’ not speak out against Bangladesh? Today Bangladesh Our Hindu sisters are being tortured, temples are being destroyed, the Indian government and the embassy there have written a letter on this, but this incident is a big blow to the society. Come It has been said that the United Nations should take strict action on this. They should take cognizance of the way humanity and minorities have been attacked.
He had also sought intervention from the United Nations in the matter of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Recently, many big personalities have written a letter to the Central Government, appealing to take steps to stop the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
