Wearing an army cap, the father saluted his martyred son, people became teary eyed

Jhunjhunu News Desk: When two brave soldiers of Jhunjhunu district, who were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir, reached their village together wrapped in the tricolor, tears started flowing from the eyes of the people. At the same time, their chests swelled with pride. The mortal remains of both were taken to their villages with a tricolor rally. Later, the last rites of martyr Ajay Singh Naruka were performed in his village Bhainsavata Kalan and martyr Bijendra Singh’s last rites were performed in his village Doomoli Kalan with full state honours. Both had joined the army together in the year 2018 and reached the village together wrapped in the tricolor.

Three-year-old innocent son performed last rites

The family of martyr Bijendra Singh in Doomoli Kalan was not given any information till Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, Bijendra’s father Ramjilal went to the field near the house. During that time, he saw a tent being set up outside the house and he was stunned. Then Bijendra’s brother Dashrath Singh went to his father and hugged him and started crying. Even then the father controlled himself and said that he is proud of his son. He has done his duty, he has fought for the country. The mother kept caressing her son’s body. Bijendra Singh was cremated by his three-year-old innocent son Vihaan.

As soon as martyr Ajay Singh’s body reached Bhainsavata Kalan, his wife Shalu Kanwar started crying while hugging the coffin. She fainted twice. The same happened with aunt’s daughter sister, seeing brother’s body before Rakshabandhan, she said on whose wrist will I tie Rakhi now Bhaiya… Ajay’s father is retired from the army, he wore the army cap and saluted his son. There were tears in his eyes and he was also proud of his son’s martyrdom. Ajay’s brother Karanveer Singh performed the last rites.
