Rajasthan : The monsoon trough line shifted from its normal position to the north on Friday, which will reduce rainfall activity in Rajasthan for the next five days. However, monsoon will remain kind in some districts of the state even today. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Jaipur and Tonk within the next 2 hours. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Yellow alert for rain here
The department has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain with thundershowers in Jaipur city, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Sikar, Nagaur, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dungarpur, Banswara and Bikaner. During this time, the wind can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. Earlier, the rain which started late Thursday evening in the rural area including Degana subdivision headquarters continued till late night. Due to heavy rain, the roads and streets of the city got flooded. Due to this, traffic was disrupted due to waterlogging in many localities and wards including the tehsil complex, in front of the Children’s Park, on the main road at the hospital square.
Loss to farmers
People also expressed anger due to the Nagar Palika not making any arrangements to treat water logging. The early sowing done by the farmers due to rain has caused water logging in the fields, which has also caused damage to the crops. Farmers told that due to excessive rain the fields got filled with water. The crops got spoiled even before they could grow. This might require sowing again. Farmer Sukharam Chaudhari Kitlasar said that due to excessive rain in the fields, the crops of the farmers have been damaged. This will require sowing again in many fields.
