Rajasthan : Monsoon season is continuing across the country. In such a situation, it is raining continuously in the western states as well. Heavy rains occurred in many districts of Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur on Thursday. The weather remained dry in the afternoon but as the evening approached, clouds covered the entire sky with a storm and it rained heavily. In such a situation, smiles spread on people’s faces once again. Just now IMD has predicted rain in many districts of Rajasthan within the next three hours.
Yellow alert for next 3 hours in these places
The Meteorological Department has just issued a yellow alert for rain for the next three hours for many districts of Rajasthan. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur (North), Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Hanumangarh districts of Rajasthan.
How to protect yourself from thunder and lightning, IMD advises
According to IMD, take shelter in safe places during thunder and lightning. Remember, avoid taking shelter under trees. Unplug electronic devices. Wait till the weather becomes normal.
Decrease in rain till July 15
According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, a circulation system is formed over north-eastern Rajasthan and the monsoon trough line is passing through Jaisalmer, Kota. Due to its effect, rain activities with thunderstorms are likely in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer divisions even today. Also, since the monsoon trough line has shifted towards the Himalayas from July 11, there is a possibility of a decrease in rain activities. From today till July 15, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected only at sporadic places.
