Rajasthan : The rainy season may continue in Rajasthan till August 16. The rain that started in the state on Wednesday evening continued till late Sunday night. This has worsened the situation in many districts including Bundi and Jodhpur. A deep depression has formed over Madhya Pradesh. It is likely to move northwestwards towards eastern Rajasthan in the next 36 hours. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains have been predicted in some parts of Ajmer and Udaipur divisions and heavy rains in some parts of Kota division.


Weather forecast for the last 24 hours

If we talk about the weather of the last 24 hours, heavy rain was recorded at some places in the state. During this period, moderate to heavy rain occurred in South Rajasthan. The highest rainfall of 102.0 mm was recorded in Arai of Ajmer.

Weather conditions during the next 24 hours

According to the weather department forecast, there is a possibility of heavy rain in western Rajasthan during the next 24 hours. For the next three hours, a yellow alert has been issued in Kota, Jhalawar, Tonk, Bundi, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pali, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Sirohi districts. Due to this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder at some places. On the other hand, an orange alert has been issued in Jaipur city, Baran, Dausa, Sikar, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Nagaur, Churu, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Barmer, Jalore. Under this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder at some places.

State weather update from 4th to 6th August
According to the update of the Meteorological Department, it is estimated that there may be heavy rain in the state from 5 to 6 August. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department estimates that there is a strong possibility of very heavy rain in Jodhpur, Ajmer, Jaipur and Bikaner divisions during August 5-6.
