In the double alert, the Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning along with strong winds at the speed of 30-40 km per hour at many places in Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Baran, Kota, Jhalawar and Ajmer districts. In such a situation, weak structures, kutcha houses, walls, light and loosely tied objects, power lines and trees etc. can be damaged. So take shelter in a safe place during thunder, do not take shelter under trees. Remove the plugs of electronic devices. Wait for the weather to become normal. While issuing a yellow alert, light to moderate rain with winds at the speed of 20-30 kmph and thunder, lightning is expected at some places in Nagaur, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Pali, Rajsamand, Sirohi and Karauli districts.

However, due to heavy rains in Jalwara on Wednesday night, the inflow of water in rivers and drains increased. Water started flowing in the fields. Here, there was heavy rain for one hour from around one o’clock on Thursday afternoon. It rained for one hour on Wednesday night as well. This brought smiles on the faces of the farmers. Due to the rain, water flowed in the Barni river and the Sukhar river. The princely era anicut of the Barni river got filled to the brim. The Sukhar river is also overflowing with water. Rain fell in Kishanpura, Balapura, Khalda, Khyavda, Kundi, Ahmedi of the area.

According to the Meteorological Department, a circulation system is formed over north-eastern Rajasthan. The monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner-Churu. Due to the effect of this system, there is a strong possibility of monsoon being active in eastern Rajasthan for the next two-three days. During this time, light to moderate rain and sometimes heavy rain is expected at many places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota divisions.
