Rajasthan : Clouds rained heavily in the districts of eastern Rajasthan including Jaipur. Heavy rain started from night itself in many districts including Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Tonk, Bharatpur, which continued intermittently throughout the day on Thursday. The highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Jaipur at 230 mm (more than 9 inches). This is said to be the first rainfall of the season and the highest rainfall since 1981. The rain started around 12 o’clock on Wednesday night, the rain in Jaipur till 9 am on Thursday also broke the all-time record of the month of August. Jaipur has a record of 188 mm rainfall in the month of August so far. Here, the situation in Jaipur worsened after the rain. When people woke up in the morning, the whole city looked waterlogged. According to the Meteorological Center, the heavy rain will continue in entire Rajasthan till August 5. An orange alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued in Ajmer on Friday.

Karauli: Three gates of Panchana dam opened
157 mm rain was recorded in Karauli, 181 mm in Panchana dam area, 175 mm in Shri Mahavirji, 114-114 mm in Todabhim and Nadauti and 81 mm rain was recorded in Hindaun. Three gates of Panchana dam were opened.

Baran: The bridge of the river Khadi submerged
A small bridge on the Khadi river in Siswali of Baran got submerged in the morning. There was two feet of water on it. During this time, people were seen crossing it in their vehicles, risking their lives.
Kota: Water came on Chambal bridge, road closed
There was a downpour in Hadoti region from early morning to afternoon on Thursday. Due to the rain in Madhya Pradesh, the inflow of water in Chambal and Kalisindh rivers has increased. Due to this, about eight feet of water came on the Chambal river bridge near Balaji of Jharer in Etawah area of Kota district. Due to this, traffic on Khatauli- Sawaimadhopur road was stopped. Traffic on Kota-Sheopur road came to a halt from 5:30 pm due to the culvert of Parvati river being submerged in water.
