Rajasthan : The phase of heavy rains has stopped in Rajasthan. From Thursday, there will be a decrease in heavy rain activity in most parts of eastern Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Udaipur divisions in the next 48 hours. There is a possibility of light rain only at isolated places from 30 August to 1 September. There is a possibility of increase in rain activities again and heavy rains at some places in Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur divisions from 2 September.

Weather Centre Director Radheshyam Sharma informed that light to moderate rain is likely in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan on August 28-29. From August 30 to September 3, the weather is likely to remain dry in most parts and light rain is likely at some places. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, rain accompanied by thunder has been recorded at many places in the state. Heavy rain has been recorded at some places in Sriganganagar and Sirohi districts. Highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Mount Abu at 88.2 mm and in western Rajasthan, 86.2 mm rain was recorded in Chunavarh of Sriganganagar.

A sheet of happiness flowed over the Alaniya Dam

At the same time, the Alaniya dam of Kota district was filled to the brim on Wednesday morning. Due to this, a sheet of one inch water started flowing on this dam. There is a wave of happiness among the farmers due to the sheet flowing on the dam. Due to this, farmers will get plenty of water for irrigation in the Rabi season. Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department Bharat Ratna Gaur said that the total water filling capacity of the dam is 1544 million cubic feet (MCFT), the dam was full on Wednesday. The land of 27 villages of Ladpura assembly constituency and 9 villages of Sangod assembly constituency is irrigated from this dam. The total irrigated area is 7882 hectares. Mustard, wheat, garlic, gram, coriander etc. are sown in this area. There is an 80 km long canal system. The dam was constructed in 1961-62. The dam has been completely filled only 13 times in 29 years.
