Rajasthan : Monsoon has completely covered Rajasthan. Heavy rains are continuing. The average rainfall in Rajasthan from June 1 to July 1 is 58 mm, whereas till now 54.6 mm rainfall has occurred i.e. 6 percent less rainfall has occurred. Out of 33 districts of the state, 20 have received less than average rainfall. 11 districts have received above average rainfall while two districts have received average rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, good rains are expected in July as well. Three months of monsoon are still left. In Rajasthan, in the last 24 hours on Monday, the highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Ghatol of Banswara at 76 mm (3 inches) and in western Rajasthan, Raniwara of Jalore recorded 71 (2.84 inches). Apart from this, 41.4 mm rainfall was recorded in Kota, 65 mm in Churu and 42 mm in Mount Abu. Here, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Sri Ganganagar at 42.4 degrees.
Heavy rain alert here
According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, moderate to heavy rains are likely in some parts of Udaipur and Jaipur divisions on Tuesday and heavy rains are likely in some places. Similarly, heavy rains are likely in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota divisions during July 3 to 5. Apart from this, there is a strong possibility of increase in rain activities and arrival of monsoon in some parts of Bikaner division of northwestern Rajasthan during July 4 to 6.
Dry western Rajasthan, rainy clouds in the east
Eastern Rajasthan received the most rainfall in the month of June. Most of the rain fell in Dholpur and Bharatpur while western Rajasthan remained dry. Out of 10 districts of western Rajasthan, 8 districts received less than average rainfall. Both the neighbouring districts Bikaner and Hanumangarh are dry.
