Rajasthan : Rajasthan, which is often known for its dry climate and sandy desert, is enjoying good monsoon rains this time. This time the monsoon has made its presence felt with heavy rains across the state, especially in the western parts. Heavy rains in districts like Pali, Jalore, Barmer, and Jodhpur have brought smiles on the faces of farmers and local residents.
Intermittent rain in Jaipur
The rain that started in the capital Jaipur on Thursday night is still continuing. It is raining intermittently in most parts of the city, due to which the temperature has come down and people have got relief from heat and humidity. The Meteorological Center Jaipur has predicted good rain in the state for the next 10 days. Due to this, special enthusiasm is being seen among the farmers, who were waiting for rain for a long time.
Heavy rain alert in 8 districts of Rajasthan
Today, heavy rain alert has been issued in 8 districts of Rajasthan. In all the other districts, along with normal rain, thunderstorm and lightning have also been warned. Heavy to very heavy rain alert has been issued in districts around Bharatpur and Jaipur on 29-30 June. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, monsoon has entered 14 districts of the state so far.
During the last 24 hours, many cities including Mount Abu, Abu Road, Jalore, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara have recorded up to 2 inches of rain. Mount Abu recorded 38 mm, Jalore 44 mm, Dungarpur 24 mm, Jodhpur 34 mm, Chittorgarh 17 mm and Pilani recorded 29 mm of rain.
Heavy rain in Jodhpur
After heavy rain in Jodhpur, Katla Bazaar, Chandpole and other areas were flooded and water started flowing on the roads with a strong current. After the rain in Jaipur, people got relief from heat and humidity and the temperature was also recorded at 38 degrees Celsius.
Water inflow started in Bisalpur dam
Due to good rains, there has been inflow of water in Bisalpur dam. Due to good rains in the catchment area of Bisalpur dam around Ajmer-Tonk, there has been inflow of water in the dam. Due to this, the gauge of the dam which was decreasing by 2 cm every day, remained stable on Thursday even after the supply in Ajmer and Jaipur.
This monsoon has started well
So far, monsoon has entered Dholpur, Bharatpur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Jalore, Pali, Ajmer, Karauli, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Barmer in Rajasthan. This good start of monsoon has raised hopes among farmers across the state that this time there will be a good harvest and the problem of water will also be solved.
