Rajasthan : Due to the activity of monsoon in Rajasthan, the rain continued on Sunday as well. Light to moderate rain was recorded in Jaipur, Kota, and Pali districts. According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, from Sunday morning to 5:30 pm, Kota recorded 26.3 mm, Jaipur 7 mm and Jalore 4.5 mm of rain. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in almost all the districts of the state on Monday. There are four such districts where an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunder.
Heavy rain alert in four districts
The speed of monsoon in Rajasthan is currently slow. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the monsoon will pick up speed in the coming week and the period of heavy rain will intensify. On Monday, the department has predicted rain in almost the entire state. Let us tell you that an orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Sirohi. Along with these areas, winds have also been predicted to blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km in Dungarpur, Pali, Ajmer and Jalore.
Heavy rain in Ajmer, Bhilwara and Baran
The spokesperson of the Meteorological Centre said that in the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers was recorded at most places in eastern Rajasthan and at some places in western Rajasthan. He said that during this period, heavy rain was recorded at some places in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Baran, Jhalawar, Kota, Chittorgarh and Sawai Madhopur districts and very heavy rain was recorded at some places in Bhilwara district. According to the centre, during this period the highest rainfall of 127 mm was recorded in Kotdi of Bhilwara in eastern Rajasthan whereas 55 mm rain was recorded in Kolayat of Bikaner in western Rajasthan.
Six gates of Kota Barrage opened
The water level of Chambal river increased after heavy rains in Kota and water coming from Madhya Pradesh. In view of this, the administration opened six gates of the barrage dam in Kota to drain out the water. At the same time, water was drained from the dam by opening the gate of Kalisindh dam in Jhalawar.
The highest temperature was recorded in Sri Ganganagar
According to the centre, on Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.4 degrees Celsius in Sri Ganganagar, which is the highest in the state. After this, Jaisalmer recorded 39.9 degrees, Phalodi 39.6 degrees, Fatehpur 39.2 degrees, Bikaner 39.1 degrees, Churu 38.9 degrees and Pilani 38.7 degrees Celsius. Whereas the minimum temperature was recorded between 31.4 degrees Celsius to 21 degrees Celsius in most parts.
Alert of moderate to heavy rain for next two-three days
The spokesperson of the centre said that rain activities are likely to continue in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next five to seven days. He said that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in some parts of Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur divisions for the next two-three days. According to him, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in some parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions for the next two-three days. He said that there is a possibility of increase in monsoon activities in the state in the first week of August.
