Rajasthan : The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has intensified today and has become a deep depression. In the next 24 hours, it is very likely to move further in the northwest direction towards Orissa and Chhattisgarh. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued a double alert of moderate and heavy rains and today there is a possibility of moderate rain with thundershowers in some parts of Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Ajmer divisions and heavy rain at some places in Kota and Udaipur divisions.
Alert issued for next 96 hours
After heavy rains on September 9, moderate to heavy rains are expected in many parts of eastern Rajasthan on September 10 and heavy rains are expected at some places in Kota and Udaipur divisions. After which, on September 11-12, there is a possibility of an increase in heavy rain activities in some parts of Bharatpur, Kota, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions of eastern Rajasthan and very heavy rains at some places. In such a situation, the phase of heavy rains will continue intermittently in Rajasthan for the next 96 hours. At the same time, in the next 4-5 days, rains with thunder are expected in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions and the weather is likely to remain mainly dry in the border areas.
