Rajasthan : South-West Monsoon said goodbye to the entire state on Saturday. With the complete withdrawal of monsoon, now the western disturbance has got favorable conditions for its entry. The first weak western disturbance after the monsoon is likely to become active from October 8. Due to its effect, there will be movement of clouds in the north-western and northern areas of the state including Jodhpur on 8th and 9th October. There may be drizzle at some places. On the other hand, there was very less rainfall in the state in the first week of October. Especially in western Rajasthan, except Jodhpur and Hanumangarh, drizzle was not recorded anywhere. 88 percent less rainfall was recorded in the state from October 1 to 6. 82 percent less rainfall was measured in eastern Rajasthan and 96 percent less rainfall was measured in western Rajasthan.
Second coldest night after 5 months
The minimum temperature in Jodhpur on Sunday was 24 degrees. Earlier on September 17 also the mercury had remained the same. In the first week of May, the night temperature dropped below 24 degrees due to south-westerly wind blowing. After that the temperature has always been above 24 degrees. That means it was a cold night after five months. Relative humidity was also 71 percent in the morning. In such a situation, cold was felt in the morning in open and high altitude areas. The mercury reached 35.4 degrees in the afternoon. Felt humid during the day. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature kept fluctuating.
