New Delhi, November 16 (IANS). Among women, you must have heard about breast cancer and cervical cancer. But, women are also falling prey to ‘petticoat’ cancer.
This has been revealed in a case study of the British Medical Journal. The study found ‘petticoat’ cancer in two Indian women. The study says that the risk of petticoat cancer is higher in those women who tie the petticoat tightly around the waist. Due to this, there is more pressure on the skin for a long time. This causes irritation and can also lead to ulcers. By wearing too tight clothes, it does not heal and later the ulcer turns into a fatal wound. This lesion later takes the form of petticoat cancer. Let us know how petticoat cancer occurs and what are its symptoms.
Two women have complained of petticoat cancer. According to the doctors treating her, tying the petticoat tightly around the waist causes constant friction. Due to which the skin may become swollen. Many times this may result in blisters and in some cases skin cancer may also occur.
It is very important to know about the early symptoms of petticoat cancer because, if its symptoms are known then treatment can be started. According to the initial symptoms of this cancer, a black mark appears on the waist. The waist surface becomes thick. Dark spots appear. If such symptoms are found, doctors should be consulted immediately.
To prevent petticoat cancer, do not tie the petticoat tightly around the waist. Keep the petticoat fabric soft. If you are wearing a saree then do not keep its knot too tight and keep changing it. Pay attention to the skin of the waist. Maintain weight. Be sure to have a balanced diet and regular physical exercise.
Let us tell you that according to the study, anyone can get skin cancer. However, skin cancer is more likely to occur in women than in men.
