Jodhpur : Three friends from Jodhpur have together established a unique startup, DefTech and Green India Private Limited (DGPL). This startup has recently developed a level-autonomy robot “Ashvabot” for the army, which is considered to be more advanced than Elon Musk’s Tesla car.
This is how it will be used in the army
The capacity of Ashwabot is remarkable; it can carry up to 100 kg of material like weapons, missiles, and medicines without any human assistance. This robot will be further upgraded by the Defense Research and Development Laboratory (DRDO) especially to transport military material at the time of threat of nuclear radiation, chemical and biological attacks.
One friend is a lawyer and two are pilots
The people behind this startup are Manish Chaudhary, Bharat Thanvi, and Madhukar Mokha. Manish, who is a former Air Force pilot, closely understood the needs of the army. Bharat is a lawyer and Madhukar is a pharmacist. Together, the three moved towards a defense startup.
This is how the horseboat will work
7 high resolution cameras, light detecting and ranging sensors, radar, ultrasonic sensors and AI technology have been used in Ashwabot. This robot can run up to 20 kilometers at a speed of 10 km per hour. Its security system is also special, because after programming it can be opened only through OTP.
Its price is 70 lakhs
Ashwabot comprises 70 per cent Indian components, and its current price is around Rs 70 lakh. This price can be reduced by 20 per cent when commercial production begins. It has the ability to work in all weather conditions and can reach the charging station on its own. This startup is not only a symbol of technological innovation, but also has the potential to play an important role in the security of the country.
