Jaipur : Congress, which won 11 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan in alliance, is now busy preparing for the by-elections. The party is engaged in strengthening its organization in the tribal belt. The reason behind this is that in case of not being able to form an alliance with the tribal party, Congress can contest the elections on its own. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara’s 2-day visit to Udaipur and Dungarpur was for this purpose.
No talks of alliance yet
Talks between Congress and Bharatiya Adivasi Party for the by-election have not been finalised. Therefore, Congress is busy in selecting its candidate and uniting its workers. On the question of alliance with Adivasi Party, the state Congress president is avoiding any kind of comment, but his statement definitely indicates that there is no possibility of alliance with Adivasi Party at the moment.
Dotasara held a meeting with Congress workers
Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara says that the high command will decide on the alliance to stop the BJP in the country and to protect democratic values. It is not appropriate for me to say anything in this regard. Let us tell you that the Chaurasi assembly seat is also included in the 6 seats on which by-elections are to be held in Rajasthan. For this reason, the state Congress President has held a meeting of workers regarding the Chaurasi assembly seat of Dungarpur district. He has brainstormed with senior party leaders. It is believed that through this meeting, efforts are being made to select the candidate. So that in case of no alliance, Congress can show its strength on this seat with full force. Many Congress leaders of the tribal belt believe that it was a big mistake of the Congress to form an alliance with the Baap party. Due to this decision, the organization of Congress has weakened in this area, which can be compensated by strongly competing in the by-election.
