Jaipur : Tablets have been purchased for 55,723 brilliant students of government schools, but these are still locked in the boxes. These tablets were handed over to the District Education Officers a month back for district-wise distribution, but these are not being distributed due to lack of SIM cards. In such a situation, the responsible District Education Officers are fearing for their safety. The officials made a symbolic start of the tablet distribution on Teachers’ Day and kept these in police stations. These have not been handed over to the students due to the lack of SIM cards that provide internet to operate the tablets. These tablets are now waiting to come out of the boxes in wait for SIM cards. On the other hand, brilliant students are yearning to operate the tablets.

Aadhaar card of the parents of the minor

Sanjay Dhawan, Finance Advisor of Directorate of Education, recently issued an order. In this, the situation regarding the Aadhar card of eligible meritorious students was clarified. It was said that the Aadhar card of the parents of students who are below 18 years of age will be taken. In this way, most of the students of class 8th and 10th board will be covered. Only those students who have passed class 12th will have to give their Aadhar card.

Toys without sims

Until SIM cards are received, these tablets cannot be used. The department asked for Aadhaar cards from the selected students, but a large number of students did not have Aadhaar cards and hence did not receive them. Now, when this problem came to light, Rajasthan Education Director recently issued a new order. In this, instructions have been given to distribute tablets to minor students by taking their parents’ Aadhaar cards in their place and activating SIM cards on them.

Free internet will be available for three years

The student will be provided free internet for three years in the SIM card provided with the tablet. The government has signed a contract with the mobile companies providing internet services. The student can choose the mobile service provider company in his area which has good internet speed or range. The SIM will be activated by the company of his choice on the Aadhar card and given to him.

Will be given when Aadhaar card is available

Tablets have been purchased based on the number of students. Students have applied for connections from different companies. SIM cards have been ordered. Now tablets will be distributed after the students provide their Aadhaar cards and SIM cards from all companies arrive.
