History of Jaigarh Fort
Talking about its history, it is said that during the Mughal period, this fort was the main artillery of the rulers here. Apart from this, it was also a place to store weapons and other items used in war. This fort, which reflects the history and culture of Rajasthan, is also known as ‘Vijay Fort’. Its structure and design will give you a glimpse of medieval India. Situated at a height of several hundred meters above sea level, this fort is surrounded by huge walls and is connected to the Amer Fort by tunnels.

Endless walls of Jaigarh Fort
The special thing about this fort is that wherever you are in Amer, one thing you can see from anywhere is the massive red walls of the Jaigarh Fort. Originally made of sandstone, the walls cover an area of ​​3 km. Another special thing about this fort is that it has the world’s largest wheeled cannon ever made. This cannon was built in this fort. However, despite its large size, it was never used during any war.

There is a huge treasure hidden in the fort
The water tank located behind the cannon in this fort is still considered mysterious. This tank is very big. This water tank was a topic of discussion not only in the first century but also in the 20th century. It is believed that the Kachwaha dynasty used this fort to protect its treasure. Many historians believe that there is a chamber under this tank located in this fort, where the treasure looted by Maharaja Man Singh from Afghanistan and various princely states of India was hidden.
