Sri Ganganagar : After the black deer in Rajasthan, now the news of hunting of Nilgai has come to the fore. Recently, people’s anger was at its peak regarding the hunting of black deer in Barmer and Sri Ganganagar. Which had now calmed down after several days of deadlock. But on Thursday late night, a Nilgai was shot dead by hunters in Sri Ganganagar district. After this incident, anger has once again deepened among wildlife lovers.

There was a 4 day long sit-in protest against the hunting of black deer

It is known that after the hunting of black deer in Suratgarh of Sri Ganganagar district, a sit-in protest was going on for four days. The protest ended at 2 o’clock on Wednesday-Thursday night. And the highway was opened but today the hunters shot and killed a Nilgai, after which there is anger among wildlife lovers once again.

Wildlife lovers and police reached the spot

District President of Jeev Raksha Dal Mukesh Suthar said that the carcass of a Nilgai was found near Bharatpur Minor of Anupgarh branch in village Hardaswali this evening. The Nilgai had bullet wounds and blood was flowing from the carcass. On receiving information about the incident, wildlife lovers reached the spot and informed the police. Suratgarh DSP Prateek Meel and Rajiyasar police station in-charge Satish Yadav reached the spot. Meanwhile, Forest Department Ranger Sandeep Layal also reached the spot.

There was a clash between the villagers and the police

As soon as the news of hunting of Nilgai spread, a large number of villagers started reaching the spot. When the forest department employees tried to lift the carcass of Nilgai, they had an altercation with the villagers. The villagers are demanding the arrest of the hunters. The villagers have given an ultimatum to the administration till tomorrow morning. They have warned of a protest with the carcass of Nilgai tomorrow if the hunters are not caught. At present, the police is trying to convince the villagers.

Difficult for administration once again

In the black buck hunting case, the villagers staged a dharna for four days continuously and the administration remained in trouble for four days and once again the administration seems to be in trouble. Let us tell you that the dharna ended last night after the DFO was made an APO and the Suratgarh forest ranger was suspended.
