Kirori Lal Meena had announced his resignation from the public platform during the 82nd birth anniversary celebrations of Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati held at Mansarovar on Thursday. Kirori Lal Meena had said that today politics has turned away from Rajdharma and is stuck in the quagmire of corruption. Many evils are coming into politics and it has now become an industry. It has strayed from public service and has become confined to self-service.

Actually, supporters wanted Kirori Meena to become deputy CM. But, this could not happen. Kirori Meena was made a cabinet minister in Bhajanlal government. But, he was not happy with the division of departments after becoming a minister. He was given the agriculture department, but did not get agricultural marketing. He was given rural development, but the Panchayati Raj department was divided among 5 ministers.
