Dausa : After the results of by-elections in Rajasthan, the politics of the state has heated up. Jagmohan Meena, brother of Kirori Lal Meena, contested the election from Dausa assembly seat. On the other hand, Congress candidate gave ticket to DC Bairwa and he defeated Jagmohan Meena by 2300 votes. After which, there is a phase of accusations and counter-accusations going on in BJP. After the results of the by-election, Kirori Lal Meena had given a statement that ‘Where do strangers have the courage, I have always been killed by my own people.’ After which now the statement of former Dausa MLA Shankarlal Sharma has created a political stir. Speaking to the media on Monday, Sharma said that if tickets are given to STs on general seats then where will the generals go. I have been an MLA from there, but despite that I was not asked.
‘To digest defeat is not a disease for everyone’- Sharma
Sharma sarcastically said that for many years there has been talk among the public about the unification of Kirori and Murari. It is possible that Kirori Lal is referring to Dausa MP Murarilal Meena, because BJP has voted for him. He said that it is not everyone’s cup of tea to digest defeat. He said that when Kirori was in Rajpa, we won five seats, when he joined BJP, we lost eight.
Statements of Kirori-Jagmohan after the defeat
After the defeat of his brother Jagmohan Meena in Dausa, Kirori Lal Meena had posted on social media that ‘I do not do sycophancy, that is why I have suffered a lot in political life. I am self-respecting. I can risk my life for the sake of the people. Where did strangers have the courage? I have always been beaten by my own people. At the same time, BJP candidate Jagmohan Meena had said after the defeat that it was clear what were the reasons for the defeat. You also know this. What to do when your own people become unfaithful?
