In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, the fast of Karva Chauth will be observed on Sunday, October 20, 2024. The auspicious time for worship on the day of Karva Chauth will be from 5.46 pm to 7.02 pm on 20th October. It will be very auspicious to worship at this time.
Why do you see the moon and your husband’s face in the sieve?
Regarding seeing the moon and husband through a sieve on the day of Karva Chauth, it is believed that there are thousands of holes in the sieve, due to which when seeing the moon, the number of images seen is equal to the number of holes. After that, if the husband is seen through a sieve, the age of the husband also increases by the same number of times. Therefore, during the fast of Karva Chauth, a sieve is used to see the moon and the husband. It is believed that without this method this fast is incomplete.

According to the legend, once King Daksh Prajapati became angry at the moon. After which he cursed the moon that you will become emaciated and whoever sees you will be disgraced. Saddened by this curse, the crying Moon reached Lord Shiva and asked for help. After which Lord Shiva said that whoever visits you on the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, all the faults of that person will be removed and every kind of stigma will be erased.
