Sikar : Former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore has said that he will not contest in the upcoming by-election. Talking to the media in Sikar on Wednesday, Rathore said that I have lost the election. Therefore, I will not contest the election. Still, whatever order the party gives, I will follow it as a true soldier. There is a discussion in political circles that the party can give Rajendra Rathore a ticket from Jhunjhunu. It is believed that according to the caste equation, Rajendra Rathore is not a fit for the Jhunjhunu seat. Jhunjhunu seat is considered to be Jat dominated, so Rajendra Rathore does not want to contest elections from there.

In fact, Rajendra Rathore had come to Sikar on Wednesday to hold a meeting of workers regarding the membership campaign. During this, Rajendra Rathore smiled and said on the discussions of getting a party ticket and contesting the assembly by-elections to be held in Jhunjhunu that there will be a round of discussions in politics, and the round of discussions should continue. Still, whatever the party’s order will be for me, I will follow it as a true soldier. He said that I have lost the election, so I will not contest the election. Let us tell you that Rathore, who reached Sikar to start the membership campaign in the BJP office, was accompanied by Sainik Welfare Board Chairman Prem Singh Bajwa, district coordinator of the campaign and Dhod MLA Gordhan Verma, District President Dr. Kamal Sikhwal, Khandela MLA Subhash Meel, district members of the campaign Govind Saini, Ashok Chaudhary, Mamta Mundotiya, and Vinod Mahala. The campaign was inaugurated by the guests and party officials by giving a missed call on the mobile number issued for the campaign.
Assembly by-election to be held on 6 seats
It is noteworthy that after some time by-elections are to be held on Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniyara, Chaurasi and Salumber assembly seats along with Khinvsar assembly seat of Rajasthan. Out of these, sitting MLAs became MPs by winning the Lok Sabha elections on five seats, while Salumber seat has fallen vacant due to the death of MLA Amritlal Meena. This seat has fallen vacant after sitting MLA Brijendra Ola became MP from Jhunjhunu seat. During the assembly elections, Brijendra Ola defeated BJP’s Nishit Kumar. This seat is considered a Jat dominated seat according to the caste equation.
