The history of Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple is believed to be about 400 years old. It is said that this sacred and popular temple was built around 1761 under the supervision of Seth Jai Ram Paliwal.

Regarding Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir, it is also believed that its construction was completed within about 4 months with the best stone of Rajasthan. The architecture of this temple also attracts devotees a lot. The story of Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir is very interesting. According to the legend, it is said that the king was returning after travelling on a bullock cart carrying the Ganesh idol, but there was a condition that wherever the bullock cart stops, a Ganesh temple will be built at that place.

As per the story, the train stopped at the foot of Dungri hill. Seth Jai Ram Paliwal decided to build a temple at the spot where the car stopped. Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir is very special. It is one of the biggest Ganesh temples in Jaipur as well as the whole of Rajasthan. Thousands of devotees visit this holy temple every day.

Lakhs of devotees visit every day on the special occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. It is said that every Wednesday a big fair is organised in the temple family and the maximum number of devotees reach on this day. A Shivling is also installed in the temple premises. Apart from this, the idol of Lakshmi-Narayan is also installed.

Devotees keep coming to Moti Dungri Ganesh Mandir all the time. You can visit the temple daily from 5 am to 1:30 pm. After this, you can visit between 4:30 pm to 9 pm. For your information, let us tell you that there is no entry fee to visit the temple.
