Barmer : In a shocking incident in Kotwali police station area of Barmer district of Rajasthan, a wife killed her husband. Additional District and Session Judge No. 2 Barmer has sentenced the accused wife to life imprisonment. The murder took place two years ago but it is still fresh in people’s memory.

According to the report lodged in the Kotwali police station on March 1, 2022, there were constant fights between Manju and Anil. Manju suspected that her husband Anil was in touch with another woman and did not help her in running the house. About two years ago, there was a dispute between the two. During the dispute, Anil raised his hand on Manju, so Manju caught his hand. During this, two of Manju’s bangles broke and scattered there. Angered by this time, Manju beat her husband Anil badly and put a belt around his neck and hooked it. Even after wanting to, Anil could not open this hook and he died due to suffocation.
Court ruling
The prosecution presented its case in the court on the basis of 16 witnesses and 24 documents. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the judge convicted the accused wife and sentenced her to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5000. After this decision of punishment, now the three innocent children have lost the protection of both their parents. Manju and Anil have three children whose names are Komal, Diksha and Samrat. The ages of all three are between four years to eight years.
