Jaipur News DeskDescribing the National Education Policy 2020 as a ‘game changer’, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday described education as the biggest center of change. He said “Education promotes equality in the society and removes inequality. ”He said this while addressing the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Kajra in Jhunjhunu district on the occasion of World Children’s Day. Praising the National Education Policy 2020, the Vice President said, “It is a game-changer. After three decades, India has got a new education policy, the aim of which is to free the students from the burden of books and make them skilled. This policy will help in establishing India as a developed India by 2047.” He also stressed the importance of discipline, culture and human development.
“Being disciplined should be an integral part of your life.”
The Vice President told the students, “It is important to be cultured at this age. Respecting parents, saluting teachers, promoting mutual brotherhood and being disciplined should be an integral part of your life. Good habits for human development. Producing should be your priority.”
“You all are the backbone of rural India.”
He said that the policies of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have provided many platforms to advance talents. Dhankhar said, “You all are the backbone of rural India. Remember, the soul of India lies in the rural areas. Our roots are strong in rural India. Our Annadata farmers also live in rural areas.” He further said that India has strengthened democracy at the grassroots level through institutions like Panchayat Raj and Municipality.
“Plant saplings in the name of grandparents.”
He made the students aware about the environment and urged them to plant trees in the name of their grandparents. He appealed to the institutions to complete this noble work in ‘mission mode’. He said, “When you leave this school, you should do something that will make this school proud and you will be remembered.”
