Bikaner : Winter has started in Bikaner but till now its significant impact has not been seen. We will have to wait for the monsoon rains, whereas the harsh cold will be felt till the last week of December. The effect of the general drop in temperature can be felt during the day. The night temperature is currently about four degrees Celsius higher than normal. According to Meteorological Department Director Radheshyam Sharma, the temperature is expected to become normal in the third week. In the fourth week the temperature may go below normal. Severe cold can be experienced only in the last week of December.
At present there is no western disturbance in the state, hence there is less hope of Mawath rain in December. For this reason, there is no severe winter right now. If any western disturbance is prepared in January then there may be heavy rain. Nothing can be said clearly about this right now. In the second week of December, the minimum temperature may remain between 11 to 13 degrees Celsius, while in the fourth week it will further reduce. It can even go down to eight degrees Celsius or below. The minimum temperature will remain around ten degrees Celsius in half of December.
