Jaipur : delegation of Rajasthan Provincial Bank Officers Organization and National Organization of Bank Officers submitted a memorandum to Raj Bhavan Secretary Dr. Prithvi demanding declaration of a public holiday for the banking and financial sector on the occasion of Diwali on November 1.
Secretary of the organization Ashok Meena said that Secretary Dr. Prithvi assured that the Finance Department of Rajasthan Government will pursue this matter expeditiously and necessary steps will be taken for declaration of public holiday. Ramavtar Saini and Vishnu Sharma were also included in the delegation that submitted the memorandum.
Government offices will open on 1st November
The Rajasthan government has declared a holiday on Diwali on 31st October. Whereas on November 2, there will be a holiday for Govardhan Puja and on November 3, the festival of Bhai Dooj will be celebrated. In such a situation, all government offices here will remain closed on Diwali on 31st and 2nd November. Whereas government offices will open on 1st November.
