Bikaner : National Equine Research Center has received many suggestions to increase horse tourism in Bikaner, Rajasthan, which are being considered. After the interface meeting held on Friday morning in Bikaner campus, Special Guest and Deputy Director of Tourism Department, Anil Rathod said, ‘Our effort is to organize horse racing in the International Camel Festival to be held on 11-12 January. In the meeting also, apart from horse riding, we have suggested to organize other shows related to horses in Bikaner.
Center got new achievement just yesterday
Dr. S.C. is presiding over this program organized in Bikaner campus. Describing the achievements of the centre, Mehta said, ‘In the last one year, this center has achieved many achievements at national and international level. Another achievement has been registered in the name of this center just yesterday. Bikaner’s National Equine Research Center and National Animal Resources Bureau, in collaboration with the scientists of Karnal, have created a DNA-based ‘Axiom-Horse SNP Chip’ of indigenous horses, which will prove to be most useful in the study of indigenous horses.
‘Innovation should be done in Bikaner’
It is noteworthy that this center has given the country the 8th breed of horses, Bhimthadi. Has won the national level breed conservation award for the conservation of Marwari horses. Recently, a girl named Raj Sheetal was born through vitrified embryo transplant technique. Keeping all these things in mind, special guest Suresh Gupta said on NDTV Rajasthan that Bikaner is a wonderful city. Innovations should be made here. With this, new employment opportunities can be created by promoting tourism.
