Winter tourism season started in China

Beijing, December 2 (IANS). With the onset of cold weather, the winter tourism season has officially started in various regions of China, attracting tourists eager to enjoy the snowy landscapes.

In Harbin, the capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, construction of several winter tourism parks has begun. These parks will have elements inspired by the ninth Asian Winter Olympics. To enhance the experience, large quantities of artificial snow have been brought in for the ice sculptures, which are expected to take about two weeks to construct.

Additionally, a special task force has been set up in Harbin to facilitate cross-border payments to make it easier for foreign tourists. Travelers can also rent warm clothing like thick jackets and cotton hats at the airport itself.

At the same time, there has been snowfall in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Machongshan Ski Resort in Huhhot city opened a week ago, giving tourists from southern China the opportunity to experience winter conditions and enjoy a variety of winter activities. Snowfall is quite rare in southern China, so indoor ski resorts have become increasingly popular. Young people are actively participating in various entertainment programs and having fun in the snow.
