Jodhpur : A burnt woman died after a fire broke out at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital in Jodhpur. The arson incident happened two days ago. The woman died during treatment at around 11 am today. After the fire, the woman’s husband had accused the hospital administration of negligence. On the day of the incident, hospital superintendent Dr. Naveen Kishoriya said that the woman was accompanied by an attendant (her husband). He lit the beedi and threw it in the dustbin, which caused the fire.
Burnt woman died after two days
According to the case, a fire broke out in the general ward of Mathura Das Mathur Hospital on November 18. A woman resident of Jaitaran (Pali) was admitted in the ward. The part of the woman’s oxygen mask was burnt in the fire. The woman was admitted to the ICU in a burnt condition. The woman died two days later. The woman’s husband told that the incident happened at 3 o’clock on Sunday night. On November 17, a sudden fire broke out in oxygen. The wife started suffering from the fire. My son and I took over. The nurses and staff posted in the ward did not take any notice for more than half an hour after the incident. Got the wife down from the bed. She kept groaning in pain. His entire face was burnt. I did not smoke beedi. This allegation is wrong. The hospital administration has been negligent in this.
Hospital administration held husband responsible for the fire
The hospital administration had made the nursing worker on duty in the ward APO. The Nursing Association had opposed this on Tuesday. After this he was reinstated. The hospital administration has held the woman’s husband responsible in the case. The team formed for investigation in the hospital told that the woman’s husband smokes beedi. He was with him in the ward as an attendant. It was he who lit the beedi and threw it in the dustbin, which caused the fire. No evidence of short circuit was found in the ward.
