Woman dies after being hit by speeding car in Jaipur

Jaipur : A woman died after being hit by a speeding car in Jaipur. She had left home to go to the birthday party. While crossing the road after leaving her husband, the car hit her and ran away. The police got the postmortem done at Kanwatiya Hospital and handed over the body to the family members on Monday afternoon. Head Constable Sanjay Kumar of Accident Police Station (West) said – Bihar resident Babita Singh (48), wife of Anil Kumar, died in the accident. She lived with her family in Bandhu Nagar Muralipura. She had left home at around 6 pm on Sunday evening to go to a birthday party with her husband Anil. The husband started buying goods from the shop in Sikar Road Vishwakarma.

Babita started crossing the road alone near BR corridor. Meanwhile, an over speeding car hit him. The driver fled with the car after the accident. Babita was immediately admitted to Kanwatiya Hospital in critical condition by ambulance. Where he died during treatment. Police have registered the case and started searching for the car and driver.
