Beijing, November 22 (IANS). Chinese President Xi Jinping stopped in Casablanca on his way back to China by special plane after concluding his state visit to Brazil. Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Al Hassan and Prime Minister Aziz Akhenouch, appointed by Moroccan King Mohammed-VI, held a welcoming ceremony at the airport to welcome Xi Jinping.

Xi Jinping pointed out that relations between China and Morocco are developing well, with fruitful practical cooperation and increasingly active exchanges in various fields. In 2016, King Mohammed VI paid a state visit to China. I had fruitful talks with him, which took China-Morocco relations to a new level. China supports Morocco in safeguarding national security and stability and is willing to continue to firmly support each other and work with Morocco on issues related to each other’s core interests.
He said China is willing to work with Morocco to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the 10th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Arab Cooperation. China wishes to promote practical cooperation in various fields within the framework of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative to achieve greater results with Morocco.
