Xi Jinping presides over the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee

Beijing, December 9 (IANS). The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting to analyze and discuss economic tasks for 2025. The meeting reviewed the work reports of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission and outlined actions related to building a clean and honest government and anti-corruption efforts for 2025.

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting. The participants acknowledged that this year is important for achieving the goals and objectives of the “14th Five Year Plan”. The CPC Central Committee, centered on Xi Jinping, has guided the entire Party and people of all ethnic groups in implementing comprehensive policies. Overall, economic operations remain stable and show progress.

China’s economic power, technological strength and overall national capability continue to grow. New-quality productive forces are continuously developing and reform and opening-up initiatives are deepening. Key risks are being addressed in a systematic and effective manner, thereby ensuring solid and effective livelihood security. The main goals and tasks of economic and social development are on track to be successfully completed this year.

The importance of economic work in the next year was emphasized in the meeting. It calls for adhering to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fully implementing the spirit of the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee as well as the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party to be done.
