Xi Jinping sent congratulatory message to the new President of Mauritius and Ghana

Beijing, December 11 (IANS). Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Darang Gokul on assuming office as President of the Republic of Mauritius.

Xi Jinping pointed out that Mauritius is an important partner of China in Africa. With the joint efforts of both sides, relations between the two countries have been upgraded to a strategic partnership. In the new situation, both countries are carrying forward the historic mission of realizing national rejuvenation and share equal responsibility in safeguarding international fairness and justice. The potential for cooperation between the two countries is huge and the future is promising. I attach great importance to the development of China-Mauritius relations and call for implementing the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, enhancing political mutual trust between the two sides, and expanding practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields. And look forward to working with President Darrang Gokul to promote better development of bilateral relations.

In recent years, relations between the two countries have enjoyed a good pace of development and practical cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. I attach great importance to the development of China-Ghana relations and look forward to furthering traditional friendship, deepening political mutual trust, promoting China-Ghana strategic partnership to become more profound and significant, and bringing greater benefits to the people of the two countries. Ready to work with President Mahama to deliver benefits.
