Yogi Adityanath’s focus is less on running the government, more on dividing the society: Priyanka Chaturvedi

Mumbai, November 16 (IANS). Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi spoke to IANS on Saturday. He has reacted on many issues including Jhansi fire incident, checking of ‘India’ block leaders.

Terming as tragic the death of 10 newborns due to burning in a medical college in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said that the responsibility of the entire administration lies somewhere. She said, “State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is giving slogans like ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ during the elections. I want to tell him that only then will he be able to run the government, he will be able to save the children. The Chief Minister is less focused on running the government, ‘Bantenge to Katenge’. And in today’s election meetings he has not said that he will go to the hospital and console the families from whom the newborn was taken away. Side I want to express my condolences. I hope that God gives strength to the family to bear this loss.”

Priyanka Chaturvedi has said that one thing is clear from this incident that we are not getting the health facilities that we should be getting. There is not even any mention of health facilities in the elections. There is talk of dividing and cutting in every way. The health infrastructure has completely collapsed. We learned a lesson during Covid, but no lesson was taken from it either.

On the question of checking of leaders by the Election Commission, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader has said that we welcome that the checking is being done. When Uddhav Thackeray was checked, he released the video of the checking. He has been checked three times. Today Rahul Gandhi was checked, yesterday Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was checked. Perhaps it happened with Union Home Minister Amit Shah a few days ago.

He said, “There should be equality in checking also. On one hand you do checking and on the other hand you acquit others, this is not right. We expected from the Election Commission to show equality and bring equality in this entire election because it is an election. So there should be equality. Having a fair election process gives confidence to the public as to why their vote is important.”

Checking Uddhav Thackeray thrice Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “I don’t know what attachment the Election Commission has to Uddhav Thackeray that his helicopter is checked again and again. I sometimes think that maybe they should have checked Uddhav Thackeray’s bag.” Must have been checked thrice. Now it is the last two days of the election campaign, it will be known in the coming two days. Also check the vehicles in which money was transferred. Many reports have come out in which this claim has been made.
