Kota : Kota People will now be able to enjoy delicious dishes along with the views of Kishore Sagar Pond in the Golden Palace, developed on the lines of Vishwa Viat Salim Singh’s Mansion of Jaisalmer on the banks of Kishore Sagar Pond (KST). Kota Development Authority (KDA) has signed an agreement with a firm for this. Apart from bearing the cleaning, repair and electricity bills of the Golden Palace, the firm will also pay an annual rent of Rs 3.25 lakh to KDA. To enhance the beauty of KST and promote tourism, the state government started the construction of the Golden Palace on the lines of Salim Singh’s mansion of Jaisalmer.
For this, especially the artisans of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur prepared a beautifully carved five-storey building with the hard work of about two and a half years. After the construction of the building which was completed at a cost of about Rs 7.5 crore, the government in the state changed before starting its operation. In such a situation, the operations of the Golden Palace could not begin. In such a situation, Kota Development Authority had to maintain it. Apart from this, KDA also had to spend money on electricity and security. In such a situation, discussions were held on behalf of the district administration to connect it with the general public and tourism activities. After this it was decided to give it on lease to the restaurant.
These facilities will be available
The five-storey building has been given on lease by KDA. There will be a reception on the ground floor. Apart from this, restaurants will be run on the first, second and third floors. Here people will be able to enjoy delicious dishes in the Golden Palace amidst the views of KST. The operator has started operating the building by decorating it attractively.
