Cyber Crime DG Hemant Priyadarshi said that nowadays most of the people are sending invitation cards on WhatsApp. Also attach the link of the location. Cyber thugs also give the link of some such apps in the link attaching the location, as soon as you open it, your data can go to them. Your bank account may be empty. To avoid this, be careful while opening the e-card. If an e-card comes from an unknown number, click on the link only after verifying it.
Kailash of Bikaner cheated of Rs 4.5 lakh
A person in Bikaner became a victim of such cyber fraud. Cyber thugs stole Rs 4.5 lakh from his account. A wedding card had come on WhatsApp from Kailash of Bikaner. The mobile hung as soon as the card was downloaded. Access to the mobile went to someone else. After some time, four and a half lakh rupees were withdrawn from Kailash’s account. Kailash told that he neither received any OTP nor received the message of balance deduction. When I went to the police, I came to know about this type of fraud.

As soon as you click, your mobile goes under their control. After this the bank account is emptied.

As soon as the APK is downloaded, the control of the phone goes to the hackers. The phone’s call log, contacts, personal photos, email ID, banking app password details and even camera access go to the hackers.
