Jaipur : Thousands of potholes on the roads in the capital Jaipur can become the reason for the increasing danger of dengue this time. Due to the accumulation of water in the potholes due to daily rain, an environment for breeding of mosquitoes has been created. Experts believe that if this situation is not taken care of in time, then there can be a huge increase in dengue cases in October and November. Currently, there are more than two thousand cases of dengue in the state and this figure is about 350 in Jaipur city, but in the next two months, the number of patients is expected to go up to 10 thousand in the entire state. Actually, the dengue mosquito shows more effect one to two weeks after the rain stops. In such a situation, after the rain stops by the end of September, it can take a fatal form.
The health department has also issued a warning about the possibility of an increase in dengue cases. Medical experts say that stagnant water promotes the life cycle of mosquitoes, which increases the risk of dengue, malaria and other diseases.
The pits will have to be filled during the rains, only then will the havoc of dengue stop
To prevent dengue mosquitoes from breeding in stagnant water, work on filling thousands of potholes on the roads must be started immediately. These can become fatal if we wait for the rain to stop. If the potholes are not filled in time and attention is not paid to cleanliness, dengue cases may increase. This will put an additional burden on health services. – Dr. Ashok Gupta, Pediatrician
