The markets are illuminated with lights on the festival of Diwali. Special preparations have been made in the market for Dhanteras tomorrow i.e. on 29th October. Shops and showrooms are decorated with colorful lights as Dhanteras is considered auspicious for shopping. This auspicious yoga will last till 3rd November.
According to Pandit Aditya Mohan Sharma, editor of Jai Vinodi Jaipur Panchang, there is Tripushkar Yoga till 10:27 am on October 29. After this, there is Trayodashi Tithi, which will be in Pradosh period. Therefore, this year Dhanteras will be celebrated on this day. Siddha Yoga will continue for the whole day right after Tripushkar Yoga. Dhanteras (29th October) is the best time for Diwali shopping. Siddha Yoga will last till 7:21 pm. This is an influential constellation of Sun, which increases power, self-confidence and business. With this, Khadidari can be done in Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra from morning sunrise to 7.21 pm.
Pandit Aditya Mohan Sharma told – Every auspicious work done in Tripushkar Yoga gives three times the results. If you buy something during this time then it is very auspicious. Because you can get three times the benefit from that also. It is very auspicious to start new auspicious works during this period. Purchasing items like gold, silver, land, vehicles, gadgets, utensils etc. is very auspicious. One should not give or take loan in this yoga. Right after this, Siddha Yoga will continue for the whole day. This yoga helps in accomplishing all the tasks.

On the Trayodashi date of Kartik Krishna Paksha, Goddess Lakshmi and Dhanvantari appeared together during the churning of the ocean. Since then this date is celebrated as Lakshmi Puja and Doctor’s Day in India. This story has appeared in the eighth chapter of the eighth canto of Shrimad Bhagwat Purana. Therefore, on this day during Pradoshkaal, Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped by lighting a lamp.
